There is risk that established targets for air transportation in Russia may not be achieved - Putin

MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - There is a risk that the established air travel targets in Russia may not be achieved, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday during a meeting on aviation development.

"We agreed to significantly increase air mobility for the population as part of our national development goals. However, there is a risk that the government-set targets for passenger air travel may not be achieved. I ask the Transport Ministry to report today on updated plans for projected passenger traffic, as well as what additional measures will be implemented to best meet the needs of citizens for air travel," Putin said.
