Kazakhstan's Altynalmas sells Maikainzoloto to Gouden Reserves subsidiary for $18 mln

ASTANA. June 18 (Interfax) - Kazakh gold miner Altynalmas has sold its wholly owned Maikainzoloto division to Gouden Reserves Kazakhstan Limited, a subsidiary of Gouden Reserves B.V., according to a disclosure on the Astana International Exchange.

The sale, covering 100% of Maikainzoloto's ordinary shares, was valued at 8.72 billion tenge or $17.8 million and closed on June 17, the filing showed.

The deal marks the second transaction between the two sides this month. On June 6, Altynalmas sold its 100% stake in Anisimov Klyuch, a copper deposit in eastern Kazakhstan, to the same Gouden Reserves subsidiary for 1.07 billion tenge.

Altynalmas had purchased its stake in Maikainzoloto from Rense Enterprises Limited for 6.06 billion tenge in April 2025.

Gouden Reserves Kazakhstan Limited is a holding company registered at the Astana International Financial Centre in May 2024. Its Dutch parent holds a controlling stake in Altynalmas.

Altynalmas ranks among Kazakhstan's top three gold producers by both output and resource base, with assets in five regions. As of April 1, Vladimir Dzhumanbayev held 18.52% of the company, while Gouden Reserves B.V. owned 54.33%, according to Kazakhstan Stock Exchange data.
