U.S. to be able to opt out of Russian oil sanctions relief soon - Trump
PARIS, June 16 (Interfax) - The United States will soon be able to opt out of Russian oil sanctions relief, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday.
"Soon we will be able to do that, because the oil is now flowing," Trump told the media on the G7 summit sidelines, referring to the pending resumption of marine traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
"We're in the position to do that soon," he said.
Earlier this year, the U.S. issued a waiver for the purchase of certain batches of Russian oil.
