U.S. INOVA to supply seismic exploration equipment to Uzbekistan

TASHKENT. June 16 (Interfax) - The United States INOVA will supply seismic exploration equipment to JSC Uzbekgeofizika, according to a statement from JSC Uzbekneftegaz.

JSC Uzbekgeofizika and INOVA signed a cooperation agreement at the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

"The document provides for the supply of modern equipment for telemetry data recording and seismic exploration," according to the statement.

It is noted that the implementation of the agreement will allow Uzbekgeofizika to modernize its technical facilities, introduce modern technologies, and organize geophysical and exploration work in accordance with international standards.

INOVA Geophysical was formed in March 2010 when BGP Inc. and ION Geophysical Corporation transferred their land seismic assets to a new joint venture.
