World Bank maintains Russian GDP growth forecasts at 0.8% in 2026, 0.7% in 2026

WASHINGTON. June 11 (Interfax) - The World Bank has maintained its forecast for Russian economic growth at 0.8% in 2026 and 0.7% in 2027.

GDP growth is expected to accelerate to 0.7% in 2028, the World Bank said in its June Global Economic Prospects.

"In Russia, the impact of the conflict in the Middle East on activity is anticipated to be contained. Oil revenue gains - estimated at about 1.5% of 2025 GDP for each $10 per barrel increase in oil prices - are envisaged to be mainly directed toward fiscal consolidation, amid fiscal and financial pressures," the World Bank said.
