Russia's Pskov Region begins exporting meat to Philippines

PSKOV. June 11 (Interfax) - Russia's Pskov Region has shipped 21,000 tonnes of livestock products in 838 consignments since the beginning of 2026, the press service of the Northwestern Interregional Administration of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said.

"The figure is 19% higher than the same period last year, when 17,600 tonnes of products were exported. The area of exports has expanded this year to include the Philippines. However, the total number of importing countries has remained the same, with the region's products being shipped to eight countries," the press service said.

Meat and meat products have accounted for the largest export volume, with 379 shipments of pork totaling 10,000 tonnes exported to China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Georgia, and the Philippines. Another 374 shipments of pork by-products totaling 9,700 tonnes have been exported to China, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Moreover, 67 shipments of fish and fish products totaling 127.7 tonnes have been shipped to Estonia. Seventeen shipments of canned fish totaling 269.6 tonnes have been shipped to Azerbaijan and Georgia, and 12.2 kilograms of musk deer meat have been exported to Hong Kong.
