Armenia remains EAEU member - territorial administration and infrastructure minister

YEREVAN. June 11 (Interfax) - Armenia remains a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Armenian Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Minister David Khudatyan said.

"The Armenian side has repeatedly commented on the issue. At this point, Armenia is an EAEU member, that's it," Khudatyan told journalists on Thursday.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said earlier that Armenia was not ready to become an EU member just yet, and the priority goal was to reform Armenia and to harmonize it with EU standards. "We cannot be an EU member without this," he said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that Armenia needed to choose quickly between the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, as it was a pressing question.
