Over 20 agreements with investment potential of up to $6 bln signed at Alatau City roadshow in China

ASTANA. June 10 (Interfax) - A total of 24 cooperation agreements with a combined investment potential of up to $6 billion were signed at the international Alatau City roadshow in Shenzhen, China, the press service of Kazakhstan's prime minister reported.

The agreements stipulate the implementation of projects in industry, energy, logistics, high technology, urban infrastructure and the digital economy, the statement says.

The roadshow was attended by representatives of government agencies, investment funds, financial institutions, real estate developers and technology companies from Kazakhstan and China.

Participants were shown a presentation on the investment potential of the city of Alatau, including concessions for investors, one-stop-shop project support and other benefits of a special legal regime.

The event focused in particular on Shenzhen's experience in innovation, digital management and attracting investment.

"The plan is to use the best practices of the Chinese metropolis in the development of the city of Alatau," the statement said.

According to the press service, the sides also discussed the prospects for continuing their investment partnership and the participation of Chinese companies in the implementation of projects in Alatau City.
