Kazakhstan to prioritize national interests in compliance with OPEC+ deal - energy minister

ASTANA. June 10 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan will act in its own national interests when it comes to compliance with the OPEC+ deal, the Central Asian country's energy minister, Yerlan Akkenzhenov told reporters.

"The point is that at the moment Kazakhstan is acting specifically in its own national interest. We know that the world needs Kazakh oil. We're a very reliable supplier for our partners. In light of the restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz, partners are asking us to increase supplies," Akkenzhenov said outside parliament.
