Putin-Trump phone call not on agenda for now - Kremlin spokesman

MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - A phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump is not on the agenda for now, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"President Putin and President Trump speak on the phone when necessary. Such calls can be organized quite rapidly. There is no call on the agenda for the moment," Peskov said at a press briefing.

Serious preparations need to be made for every call, he said.

"For now, the mediation process on the Ukrainian track has been paused," Peskov said in response to a question about whether the Kremlin deemed direct contact between the Russian and U.S. presidents to be necessary.
