Novak calls for full set of tools to be used to ensure reliable supply to consumers
MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has met with representatives from the Energy Ministry, the Federal Tax Service (FTS), the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS), the Transport Ministry and relevant government departments to discuss the situation on the fuel market, the government press service reported.
A presentation was given at the meeting, showing an analysis of the domestic fuel market situation prepared based on data from monitoring systems. Participants discussed trends in gasoline and diesel fuel prices, as well as issues with the accessibility of fuel in the regions.
The Energy Ministry presented support measures aimed at maintaining balance on the domestic market. Special attention was paid to facilitating the seamless supply of petroleum products to consumers, reacting promptly to changes in market circumstances, as well as logistics issues.
"At the end of the meeting, Alexander Novak noted the necessity of working out specific actions and steps allowing all the processes which are going on in the industry to be tracked promptly and the entire available set of tools to be deployed for the reliable supply of petroleum products to consumers," the press release reads.
