Novak says diesel fuel exports from Russia could be prohibited in future, does not currently see necessity of this
ST. PETERSBURG. June 4 (Interfax) - There is currently no need to forbid diesel fuel exports from Russia for all market participants, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.
However, the government could consider this measure in future. "Anything is possible. If necessary, such decisions could be made [prohibiting diesel fuel exports from Russia]. At the moment, there is no need for that," Novak told journalists at the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026).
Russia currently has an embargo on the export of diesel and marine fuels, as well as other gasoils, for non-producers. There is also a ban on gasoline and jet fuel exports for all market participants.
