Russia's foreign partners in ISS project extend station's operations until 2030 - Energia corporation

MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax) - Russia's Energia rocket and space corporation has said its foreign partners in the International Space Station (ISS) project have decided to continue operating the station until 2030.

"Foreign partners in the ISS program have decided to continue operating the station until 2030. The Russian government in 2023 approved continuing the operations of the Russian segment of the ISS with a crew until 2028," Energia said in its report for 2025.

According to the report, transport and technical support for the future Russian Orbital Station (ROS) is to be provided by the Soyuz ROS crewed spacecraft and the Progress ROS cargo spacecraft.

Energia is also working to build a new manned spacecraft for ROS's transport and technical support, it said.

"The company's position in the Russian manned space industry is stable: PJSC RSC Energia is the lead organization operating the Russian segment of the ISS and developing the Russian Orbital Station (ROS), whose first phase is scheduled to be deployed in 2028," it said.

As part of the ISS program, Energia continues working to manufacture and launch Soyuz MS and Progress MS spacecraft, operate the Russian segment of the station, and expand the program of applied scientific research and experiments, it said.
