Russia boosts flour exports 11% to $60 mln in Jan-April - Agroexport center

MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax) - Russia boosted exports of wheat and rye-wheat flour 11% year-on-year to $60 million in January-April this year, the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center said, citing expert estimates.

Shipments totaled around 180,000 tonnes in physical terms, though the dynamics of the indicator have not been provided.

The main revenue came from flour exports to China at around $21 million, up 2.5-fold year-on-year; Afghanistan at over $5 million, up 1.6-fold; Mongolia at over $5 million, up 13-fold; and North Korea at around $4 million, up 1.7-fold.

Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) data indicate that Russian flourmills cut output of wheat and rye-wheat flour 4.9% year-on-year to 8.8 million tonnes in 2025. Production dipped 0.4% to 2.9 million tonnes in the first four months of this year.
