Belarus ratifies agreement with Russia on common market for precious metals and gemstones

MINSK. May 21 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a law ratifying the agreement between the Belarusian and Russian governments on cooperation in precious metals and gemstones, as well as products made from them, the Belarusian presidential press service said.

"The international agreement sets the terms for the establishment of a common market for precious metals and gemstones, as well as products made from them, within the Union State framework," it said.

"It also envisaged a procedure for mutual control over their circulation," it said.
