Azerbaijani drilling company SOCAR AQS discussing long-term presence in Libya's oil and gas market

BAKU. May 21 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani drilling company SOCAR AQS has discussed opportunities for long-term cooperation with Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) and National Well Drilling Company (NWD), according to a statement from SOCAR AQS on the LinkedIn social network.

"SOCAR AQS, as part of its ongoing cooperation with key partners in Libya's energy sector, held a meeting in Baku with representatives of Libyan national companies NOC and NWD to discuss opportunities for long-term cooperation in the Libyan oil and gas market," the company said.

The negotiations focused on potential areas of cooperation in the oilfield services sector, including operational excellence, technical expertise and capacity development, it said.

"The meeting reflects the parties' mutual commitment to strengthen cooperation, facilitate knowledge exchange and build sustainable partnerships in the energy sector," it said.

SOCAR AQS, which provides comprehensive drilling and well maintenance services, was founded in 2007 by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), Nobel Energy and Absheron Drilling.
