Ukraine's external financing needs for 2027 total $43 bln - Finance Ministry
MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Ukraine's external financing needs for 2026-2027 amount to $95 billion, of which $52 billion for 2026 has already been secured, Ukrainian media quoted Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko as saying at a meeting of the G7 financial bloc in Paris.
International assistance remains critical for ensuring the functioning of Ukraine as a state, maintaining its macro-financial stability and financing key social and humanitarian needs, Marchenko said.
When speaking about current economic challenges, Marchenko said that Ukraine's GDP contracted in Q1 2026, and inflation accelerated in April after several months of slowdown. At the same time, Ukraine continues to maintain stable budget revenues, which grew 17.2% YoY in January-April 2026.
