Biotechnological complex worth 7.2 bln rubles to be built in Bashkortostan

UFA. May 8 (Interfax) - Continent LLC (Bashkortostan) plans to establish production of items for the agricultural sector in the republic's Sterlitamak district, the regional authorities' press service said.

"The investor plans to invest 7.2 billion rubles in implementing the project. These funds will be directed towards constructing a modern complex for producing feed microbiological protein, amino acids and vitamins. The launch of the new enterprise will create 250 jobs," the press service said.

The project has received priority status with the possibility of providing tax benefits.

The republic's Agriculture Ministry said in turn that the project implementation period is five years.

The new production facility will focus on deep processing of grain. It is planned that raw materials will be supplied by large grain crop producers in the Sterlitamak district and the surrounding area.

Currently, half of the country's required amount of feed amino acids is imported from abroad, the ministry said.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Continent LLC was registered in Bashkortostan at the end of 2018. It is engaged in the production of feed microbiological protein, premixes, feed vitamins, antibiotics, amino acids and enzymes. The company is owned by Rinat Gabidullin.
