Red Wings to launch flights from Yekaterinburg to Aktau, Kazakhstan in June
YEKATERINBURG. May 7 (Interfax) - Airline Red Wings will begin offering flights from Yekaterinburg to a new destination in Kazakhstan, Aktau, starting on June 11, the airline's press service said.
"This is already the third Kazakh city which the airline flies to from the capital of the Urals: since 2022, regular flights are run from Yekaterinburg to Astana and Almaty," the statement reads.
Flights to Aktau will be offered twice a week during the summer season, on Thursdays and on Saturdays, on SSJ 100 planes. The flight time is two hours and 30 minutes.
According to the flight timetable at the Koltsovo airport in Yekaterinburg, from which Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines has also scheduled flights for the summer season, once a week on Sundays.
Red Wings is among the top ten largest airlines in Russia. The carrier's fleet consists of more than 20 regional Superjet 100 aircraft, two Tu-214s and one Tu-204, as well as three long-haul Boeing 777s.
Koltsovo International Airport is managed by the Airports of Regions holding company and is one of the largest regional airports in Russia in terms of passenger traffic.
