Peskov: Russia-Africa summit good platform for discussing trade, investment, cultural cooperation
MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - The Russia-Africa summit provides a good opportunity for discussing economic and humanitarian cooperation, while it addresses security aspects to a lesser extent, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"The [Russia-Africa] summit is a good platform primarily for discussing issues related to trade, economic, investment, cultural cooperation, and all aspects of humanitarian cooperation," Peskov said commenting on the Russia-Africa summit's potential impact on security on the African continent amid the deterioration of the situation in Mali.
"Security issues are also raised at the summit, but perhaps to a lesser extent," he said.
