Acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine to resign over differences with Trump - media
LONDON. April 29 (Interfax) - Julie Davis, charge d'affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, intends to resign within weeks over differences with President Donald Trump, the Financial Times reported.
Davis, who has served in her current position since May 2025, has grown increasingly frustrated with her role and differences with Trump over his dwindling support for Ukraine, FT said citing three sources.
Davis has already notified the State Department of her decision. She is expected to retire after three decades of her diplomatic career, the sources said.
The State Department told the newspaper that Davis currently continues to lead the embassy in Kiev.
