Tajikistan boosts industrial output 14.1% in Q1

DUSHANBE. April 23 (Interfax) - Tajikistan boosted industrial output 14.1% year-on-year to 16.12 billion somoni or $1.7 billion at the current rate in Q1 2026, the republic's statistics agency said.

Output grew 23.4% in Q1 2025.

Manufacturing output rose 29.6% in Q1 2026, with growth of 17% for food. Output in production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning grew 7.5%.

Output fell 9.8% in mineral extraction with drops of 30% for anthracite and lignite coal, two-thirds for oil and gas and 0.6% for metal ores.

Tajikistan's industrial output grew 22.1% in 2025 and 20% in 2024.
