EU permanent reps approve 90-bln-euro loan for Ukraine - media
MADRID. April 22 (Interfax) - European Union permanent representatives have approved the 20th package of anti-Russian sanctions and a 90-billion-loan for Ukraine after Hungary stopped blocking these measures, the news agency EFE reported on Wednesday, citing the Cypriot presidency of the European Council.
"Both decisions have been made at the level of EU permanent representatives. A written procedure will follow to give the final approval," it said.
The approval of both proposals is expected to be finalized on Thursday.
EFE did not say what exactly is included in the 20th package of sanctions. Some Western media outlets said earlier that it had been markedly reduced, as member states had chosen not to impose restrictions on the oil sector.
