Quota for Russian fertilizer exports in June-Nov will be 20 mln tonnes

MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - The Russian government has extended the validity of quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers for the period from June 1 to November 30, 2026, the government's press service said.

The total size of the export quota will be 20 million tonnes, including more than 8.7 million tonnes for nitrogen fertilizers and more than 7 million tonnes for complex fertilizers.

The quota for exports of ammonium nitrate, which were suspended from March 21 to April 21, 2026, will be 4.2 million tonnes.

Non-tariff quotas on the export of nitrogen and complex fertilizers from Russia were introduced on December 1, 2021 as one of the measures to curb rising food prices. The restrictions have been extended several times.

The current total level of the quota for exports of mineral fertilizers, in effect from December 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, is nearly 18.7 million tonnes.
