Ukrainian State Border Guard Service provides border-crossing statistics
MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - The number of departures from Ukraine exceeded the number of arrivals by 34,000 on April 11-17, versus the opposite trend in the two previous weeks, when the number of arrivals exceeded the number of departures by 128,000, the Ukrainian media said, citing statistical data from the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service.
The number of departures grew to 247,000 on April 11-17 from 222,000 in the previous week, while the number of arrivals decreased to 213,000 from 274,000, the media said.
The number of vehicles crossing the border also decreased over the week, to 107,000 from 115,000, and the number of humanitarian trucks went down to 410 from 422 the week before.
An update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees estimated the total number of Ukrainian refugees at 5.924 million worldwide as of February 19, 2026, (5.898 million on January 16), including 5.375 million in Europe (5.349 million).
The number of internally displaced persons in Ukraine stood at 3.7 million in January 2026, versus 3.340 million in July 2025 and 3.76 million last April, the UN update said.
