Inflation in Russia amounts to 0.60% in March, annual inflation slows to 5.86%

MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax) - Inflation in Russia amounted to 0.60% in March 2026, after totaling 0.73% in February and 1.62% in January, Rosstat said on Friday.

Prices in Russia grew 2.97% in January-March 2026.

Consumer price growth was slightly higher than the 0.58% predicted by analysts surveyed by Interfax in March 2026, though they coincided fully with weekly dynamics, which also indicated a price increase of 0.60% in March.

Annual inflation, according to the Rosstat data, slowed to 5.86% in March 2026, versus the 5.84% predicted by analysts, from 5.91% at the end of February. At the end of January, annual inflation stood at 6.00%, compared with 5.59% at the end of December.

The baseline consumer price index, excluding changes in the prices of certain goods subject to the influence of factors both administrative and seasonal, stood at 100.54% in March 2026, versus 100.52% in February 2026, 105.03% in annual terms, versus 105.18% in February.
