Ozon opens first phase of logistics center in Kuzbass for 5 bln rubles
KEMEROVO. April 8 (Interfax) - The online retailer Ozon has opened the first phase of a logistics complex in the Kemerovo region, the company's press service said.
The area of the first phase is 40,000 square meters, and in June this year it will increase to 65,000 square meters. After the distribution center reaches full capacity, its area will exceed 100,000 square meters.
Ozon's investments in the project exceeded 5 billion rubles.
The logistics center will carry out the full cycle of order processing - from receiving goods to parcel assembly and their transfer to couriers for delivery.
"With the launch of the first phase, the facility can store more than 17 million items, and the fulfillment center is capable of processing around 500,000 orders daily. After reaching full capacity, the facility will be able to store more than 40 million items and process nearly 1.2 million orders a day," the press service said.
The launch of the logistics center is expected to increase delivery speed.
Currently, more than 1,300 Ozon pickup points operate in the Kemerovo region. Over 300 of them are located in Kemerovo, and more than 500 are in towns and settlements with populations of up to 50,000 people. In total, there are nearly 10,000 pickup points in the Siberian Federal District. According to the press service, their number increased almost 70% year-on-year.
"In just the first two months of 2026, the number of orders in the Kemerovo region increased 2.5-fold year-on-year. Over the same period, the number of customers in the region increased more than 50%, and on average each buyer places 65% more orders than last year. The turnover of local entrepreneurs at the end of 2025 increased 40%, and over three years it has grown, on average, sixfold," the press service quoted Ozon's operational director of production Alexander Startsev as saying.
Ozon's logistics infrastructure in Russia includes 51 fulfillment centers and more than 150 delivery hubs.
As reported, the construction of the logistics park with Ozon as the anchor tenant is being carried out by Kuzbass Logistic LLC. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Kuzbass Logistic LLC was registered in Kemerovo in November 2023. The largest owners are Olga Gordienko with a 47.5% stake and Yulia Gryazina with 23.75%. Another 11.5% each belong to Ashot Ordukhanyan and Andrei Radoshnov. All of them are co-owners of a number of companies in PFO Group and related structures. In particular, they have stakes in Logopark Zvezdny LLC (Omsk) and Logopark Perm LLC.
Sberbank has been the pledge holder of 100% of Kuzbass Logistic LLC since the end of 2024.
