Inflation in Uzbekistan amounts to 1.9% in Q1
TASHKENT. April 6 (Interfax) - Annual inflation in Uzbekistan slowed to 7.1% in March from 7.3% in February, while prices rose 1.9% in January-March, according to a statement from the Uzbek National Committee on Statistics.
Goods and services rose 0.6% in price in March.
The annual consumer price index stood at 107.1%, decreasing by 3.2 percentage points compared to the same month last year (110.3% in March 2025).
In March, prices for food products increased by an average of 1.2%, for non-food products they rose 0.3%, and paid services to the population rose 0.2% in price.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting on March 30, set the task of keeping inflation within the range of 6%-6.5% this year (within the initial forecast of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan).
