Russia's NWF shrinks by 135 bln rubles to 13.4 trln rubles in March, liquid portion amounts to 1.7% of GDP
MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - The size of Russia's National Wealth Fund (NWF) continued to decline in March 2026, decreasing by 134.96 billion rubles after falling by 90.5 billion rubles in February, according to data published on the website of the Finance Ministry.
It grew by 224.1 billion rubles and 156 billion rubles in January 2026 and December 2025, respectively.
The size of the NWF as of April 1 amounted to 13.414 trillion rubles (equivalent to $165 billion), or 5.7% of GDP.
A month earlier, it stood at 13.549 trillion rubles (equivalent to $175.335 billion), or 5.8% of GDP.
The fund's liquid assets as of the beginning of April amounted to 3.889 trillion rubles or $47.84 billion (1.7% of the GDP forecast for 2026), declining from 4.005 trillion rubles or $51.828 billion (1.7% of GDP) a month earlier.
