Gas pumped via TurkStream European line increases 21% in March

MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax) - Gas pumped via the European line of the TurkStream gas pipeline, which transports gas to Southern Europe via Turkey, increased 21% year-on-year to 1.704 billion cubic meters (bcm) in March 2026, it follows from data published by European gas transportation companies.

The trunk pipeline was loaded to 97% of its capacity in March, up slightly from 96% in February.

TurkStream is an export gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey via the Black Sea. Throughput capacity totals 31.5 bcm of gas per year, and the pipeline supplies gas to Turkey and the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe, including Slovakia and Hungary, in transit through Turkey. The pipeline consists of two lines, each of which can pump up to 15.75 bcm per year. It supplied 18.1 bcm of gas to Europe and 7.6 bcm to Turkey in 2025.

In 2025, 18.06 bcm of gas was supplied through the pipeline.
