Ukraine has received 193 bln euros in aid from EU since Feb 2022 - PM

MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax) - Kiev has received over 193 billion euros in aid from the European Union and its member states since February 2022, Ukrainian media quoted Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko as saying.

Sviridenko said she participated in an informal meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Kiev, where she thanked her European partners for supporting Ukraine.

"International support and the disbursement of the EU loan as soon as possible are important for Ukraine," Ukrainian media quoted Sviridenko's social media post.

Additionally, Ukraine received nearly $1.3 billion from Japan through the World Bank's PEACE in Ukraine project, Ukrainian media reported citing Sviridenko's social media post.

"The money has been transferred to the state budget's general fund and earmarked for social expenditures. This is a second tranche from Japan financed through the G7's Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine mechanism. Its total volume is $50 billion," she said.

Budget support from Japan has exceeded $10.7 billion since February 2022, including more than $2.7 billion in grants, she said.
