Kazakhstan to localize production of Dewulf, Vervaet, Vaderstad farm machinery

ASTANA. March 26 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan plans to localize the production of agricultural machinery from European brands Dewulf, Vervaet and Vaderstad, the Industry and Construction Ministry said.

A Kazakh delegation recently visited the manufacturers' facilities, which produce tractors, root crop equipment, beet harvesters and fertilizer spreaders, as well as seeding and tillage solutions.

"Following the meetings, agreements were reached to localize the production in Kazakhstan of several types of modern, high-performance machinery," the ministry said.

The ministry previously indicated that production of European agricultural machinery would be localized this year at AgromashHolding KZ JSC in Kostanay. The list of brands to be produced locally is being finalized through ongoing negotiations with foreign partners.

In November 2025, AgromashHolding signed a $2.5 billion strategic partnership agreement with John Deere, setting out plans to produce at least 3,000 units of John Deere machinery over five years at its facilities.

AgromashHolding KZ JSC is Kazakhstan's leading agricultural machinery manufacturer.

Dewulf is a Belgian manufacturer of harvesters, potato planters, cultivators, storage and sorting equipment.

Vervaet is a Dutch company specializing in high-performance agricultural machinery.

Vaderstad is a Swedish family-owned company known for its high-performance tillage and seeding equipment.
