Energoatom produces 54.1 bln kWh of electricity, 418 mln kWh above target, in 2025
MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - All of Energoatom's three nuclear power plants (NPPs) located in Kiev-controlled territory reached their 2025 target, producing 54.1 billion kWh of electricity, which is 100.8% of last year's plan, Ukrainian media reported citing a statement from the company.
"A total of 418 million kWh of electricity was produced above the target. Compared to 2024, electricity production growth was recorded and there was a reduction of the maintenance campaign timeline. Maintenance should be optimized further, adopting new technologies," Energoatom's acting CEO Pavel Kovtonyuk said.
In 2025, Energoatom paid UAH 168.5 billion in its public service obligations to ensure the affordability of electricity for household consumers and transferred more than UAH 44.5 billion to the Ukrainian budget.
Energoatom operates nine units with a total capacity of 7,880 MW at the Rovno, Khmelnitsky and South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plants.
