Russia exports feed for cats, dogs for record $256 mln in 2025 - Agroexport

MOSCOW. March 17 (Interfax) - Russia exported feed for cats and dogs for $256 million in 2025, up 23% compared to the previous year, and this figure represents a record, the Agroexport federal center said, citing expert estimates.

The previous record for export revenue was set in 2021, when the figure was $227 million.

In physical terms, exports amounted to 106,000 tonnes in 2025. The dynamics for this indicator were not provided.

The absolute leader among importers is Belarus, which purchased around 54,000 tonnes of feed for almost $176 million. The main buyers also included Kazakhstan ($48 million), Uzbekistan (more than $9.4 million), Kyrgyzstan (more than $6.4 million) and Azerbaijan (more than $5.7 million).

New export destinations in 2025 included Qatar, Iraq, Jordan and Bangladesh. After a hiatus beginning in 2021, exports to Hong Kong resumed.

According to Rosstat, the production of prepared feeds for non-productive (domestic) animals in Russia increased 4.2% in 2025 to 1.7 million tonnes.
