Abkhaz nationals with Russian citizenship to receive medical care at Russian medical centers - agreement

MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - An agreement was signed on Monday allowing Abkhaz citizens who hold Russian citizenship to receive medical care at Russian medical centers.

"Today, we signed an addendum to the agreement, which allows, among other things, greater access for Abkhaz residents who hold Russian citizenship to receive medical care at our centers. As part of our cooperation and friendship, this is a major and serious step towards helping Abkhaz citizens," Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said at the signing ceremony.

"Today's signing is a very significant event. It will save thousands of lives in need of this type of medical care in Russia, [and those who] have compulsory medical insurance," Abkhaz Health Minister Eduard Butba said at the ceremony.
