Russia's consolidated budget deficit totals 681.5 bln rubles in January 2026 - Treasury
MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - Russia executed the consolidated budget at a deficit of 681.5 billion rubles in January 2026, according to the Federal Treasury's preliminary estimates posted on its website.
The consolidated budget was executed at a deficit of 720.6 billion rubles in January 2025, at a surplus of 498.1 billion rubles in January 2024, and at a deficit of about 1.37 trillion rubles in January 2023.
Consolidated budget revenues totaled about 4.569 trillion rubles in January this year versus nearly 4.877 trillion rubles in January 2025, and expenditures totaled nearly 5.251 trillion rubles versus about 5.597 trillion rubles, respectively.
The Russian federal budget deficit totaled nearly 1.629 trillion rubles in January versus about 1.466 trillion rubles in January 2025. Federal budget revenue totaled about 2.364 trillion rubles in January versus about 2.672 trillion rubles last January, and expenditures totaled about 3.993 trillion rubles versus nearly 4.139 trillion rubles last year.
The consolidated budgets of Russia's constituent entities were executed at a deficit of 81.8 billion rubles in January, with regional budget revenues of nearly 1.21 trillion rubles and expenditures of nearly 1.292 trillion rubles.
The budgets of state extra-budgetary funds were executed at a surplus of about 1.016 trillion rubles in January versus a surplus of 735.8 billion rubles in January 2025. Revenues totaled nearly 2.171 trillion rubles and expenditures totaled about 1.154 trillion rubles versus revenues of nearly 1.939 trillion rubles and expenditures of about 1.203 trillion rubles in January 2025.
The budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds were executed at a surplus of 13.1 billion rubles in January, with revenues of 228.7 billion rubles and expenditures of 215.5 billion rubles.
