Vladivostok's Vladmorrybport obtains permission to export fish products to Brazil
VLADIVOSTOK. March 6 (Interfax) - Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport), the largest stevedoring company in the Far East for transshipping fish, has obtained permission to export fish products to Brazil, the company said.
Vladmorrybport has successfully passed the certification of the Brazilian Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply Ministry.
"Specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor [the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance] have confirmed that our technical equipment and quality control system fully comply with the strict requirements of the South American market. Brazil is a promising importer of fish products from Russia, and now Russian pollock (and this is the main demand of the market) will go through our infrastructure," the company said.
Fish supplies to Brazil from ports in Primorye were not carried out previously.
"We are already working with China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Nigeria, Canada and many other countries. Now Brazil is on this list. We are preparing for the first shipments to South America," the company said.
Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port is a universal transshipment complex. The port's capacity for transshipping fish products is 620,000 tonnes per year. It was previously reported that the port shipped 340,000 tonnes of fish products in 2025.
According to information from Vladmorrybport as of early January 2026, the main shareholders of the company are Geotex LLC (Moscow), which owns 51.9% of the charter capital (51.9% of ordinary shares), and the former general director of Vladmorrybport, Alexander Yevdokimov, who owns 47.7%.
