Work fully stops at Bushehr construction site in Iran - Rosatom CEO
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Work has fully stopped at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant's construction site in Iran amid the hostilities in the Middle East, Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev said.
"Of course, work has stopped at the site in Iran. We make sure that our employees stay in towns and minimize their presence in open spaces associated with construction," Likhachev told journalists on Tuesday.
"It is hard to predict the further course of events because of hostilities against Iran," he said.
The Iranian Bushehr NPP is a priority project of Rosatom, Likhachev said.
"Our people will stay there [at the Bushehr NPP] anyway. This facility will be one of our priorities. We understand our responsibility to the people and government of Iran," he said.
