Azerbaijan increases imports of Premium Euro-95 gasoline 1.6-fold in 2025
BAKU. March 3 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan imported 138,560 tonnes of Premium Euro-95 gasoline for $118.85 million in 2025, according to materials from the country's State Statistics Committee.
In quantitative terms, imports increased 1.6-fold compared to the level of 2024, and in value terms they were up 48.3%.
In the import structure, supplies from Russia accounted for 53.8% or 74,620 tonnes (a 3.5-fold increase) worth $63.91 million (a 3.4-fold increase). The top three largest suppliers also included the UAE (24,813 tonnes worth $21.607 million) and Romania (14,280 tonnes worth $12.24 million).
The remaining amount was imported from Belarus (12,050 tonnes worth $9.88 million), Bulgaria (3,460 tonnes worth $2.99 million), Georgia (1,490 tonnes worth $1.22 million) and Greece (7,830 tonnes worth $6.98 million). Imports from Greece began in November.
According to statistics, Azerbaijan exported Premium Euro-95 gasoline last year amounting to 5,400 tonnes worth $3.56 million. Of this amount, 1,210 tonnes worth $788,800 were supplied to Armenia. The main amount - 4,190 tonnes worth $2.77 million - went to Georgia.
No Premium Euro-95 gasoline was exported from Azerbaijan in 2024.
According to the State Statistics Committee, supplies of Super Euro-98 gasoline to Azerbaijan in 2025 amounted to more than 2,100 tonnes (-0.5%) worth $2.58 million (-0.5%). Of this, 859.87 tonnes worth $1.05 million were received from Russia, 951.92 tonnes worth $1.16 million from Romania and 295.15 tonnes worth $362,000 from Bulgaria.
Imports of Premium Euro-95 and Super Euro-98 motor gasoline to Azerbaijan began on April 1, 2014.
