Russia supplies margarine to Norway for first time in 2025, earns more than $2.2 mln - Agroexport
MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Norway appeared among the buyers of Russian margarine for the first time in 2025, the Agroexport federal center told Interfax.
Products worth more than $2.2 million were shipped to the Norwegian market, Agroexport said, citing expert estimates.
In total, Russia shipped margarine exports worth $386 million in 2025, up 26% compared to the previous year. In physical terms, exports remained at the level of 2024 - almost 229,000 tonnes.
The main buyer was Kazakhstan, with imports worth more than $106 million. Revenue from exports to Uzbekistan exceeded $52 million, to Tajikistan $46 million, to Belarus $46 million and to Azerbaijan almost $33 million.
In 2025, after a hiatus beginning in 2022, supplies to the UAE resumed and amounted to almost $600,000.
According to Rosstat data, Russia's fat and oil industry produced 467,000 tonnes of margarine in 2025, up 2.4% from the previous year.
