Central Asian FMs, minister of state in British Defense Ministry discuss regional security
ASHGABAT. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Turkmen Foreign Minister Rasit Meredow has met with his Central Asian counterparts and Minister of State in the British Defense Ministry Vernon Rodney Coaker to discuss regional security, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website on Thursday.
The meeting hosted by the British Royal Horse Guards base addressed regional security, strengthening of mutual understanding and development of dialogue between Central Asian countries and the UK.
Emphasis was put on the exchange of practices in the professional training of personnel and the improvement of mechanisms of response to current threats and challenges.
The sides underlined the significance of constructive, candid interaction aimed to bolster regional and international stability and security, the statement said.
