GDP in Belarus falls 1.2% in Jan
MINSK. Feb 17 (Interfax) - GDP in Belarus fell 1.2% year-on-year at constant prices to 23.3 billion Belarusian rubles in January 2026, the country's National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said.
The GDP deflator was 109.9%.
The Belarusian government forecasts GDP will grow at least 2.8% in 2026. The International Monetary Fund expects 1.4% growth, the World Bank - 1.3%, Eurasian Development Bank - 1.8% and United Nations - 2.1%.
GDP grew 1.3% in 2025, 4% in 2024 and 3.9% in 2023 after falling 4.7% in 2022.
