Rusagro plans to supply 500 tonnes of pork products to Philippines monthly

MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Rusagro Group , which has received the right to export pork products to the Philippines, is transitioning to monthly shipments of these products amounting to 500 tonnes.

"One-time shipments are transitioning into the format of regular supplies. The plans are to ship 500 tonnes of products to the Philippine market per month. This will ensure a sustainable presence in the new market and strengthen the company's position in international trade," the company said.

The group sent its first container of products to the Philippines at the end of December. "Foreign buyers showed the greatest interest in brisket and jowl - products that are in demand in the region's national cuisine," it said.

Russian pig farmers received the right to export their products to the Philippines in December 2025. The agricultural holding Miratorg also joined the shipments, sending 650 tonnes to the Philippine market.

Rusagro Group is a leader in the production of sugar, pork, oil and fat products, and agricultural products. Its assets are located in 15 regions of Russia. The group comprises 46 pig farms, four meat-processing facilities, six oil extraction plants, six oil and fat production plants and nine sugar refineries.

According to its annual report, the company's land bank amounted to 815,000 hectares at the end of 2024, of which 704,000 ha were arable land.
