MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency is planning to sign 13 concession agreements on the reconstruction of airfield infrastructure in 2026, 10 of which with airports from the Novaport holding, agency head Dmitry Yadrov said in an interview with Rossiya-24.
"For this year, we are planning to sign 13 concession agreements, 10 of which will be with the Novaport holding. There will also be three federal subject concessions - Naryan-Mar, Izhevsk and Apatity," Yadrov said.
He also said that there were plans to commission new airports in Barnaul, Orenburg and Blagoveschensk after reconstruction work this year. Last year, various airport infrastructure facilities were commissioned in Magadan and Novosibirsk, a new runway in Simferopol and seven airport complexes in the regions.
"Apart from that, a capital repairs fund was launched last year in accordance with an instruction from the president. In sum, we plan to conduct capital repairs on 61 airfields by 2030. We already signed a government contract with Cheboksary last year and developed design and budget documentation for 23 airfields," Yadrov said.
Russia plans to modernize 129 airfields by 2030.
