Aeroflot to continue flights to Cuba, allowing for stopovers for refueling

MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Rossiya Airlines, part of Aeroflot Group , plans to continue its flight program to and from airports in Havana and Varadero, Cuba, despite the current fuel shortage in Cuba, Aeroflot's press service posted on the group's Telegram channel.

"Aeroflot will continue to operate the Rossiya Airlines, part of Aeroflot Group, flight program to these destinations amid reports from Cuban aviation authorities regarding a shortage of aviation fuel at airports in Havana and Varadero," the airline said.

Aeroflot notes that flight routes could be adjusted to include additional refueling stops.

The group promises to inform passengers promptly of the status of flights to Cuba should the situation change.
