EBRD cuts funding for projects in Azerbaijan 60% in 2025

BAKU. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development financed 10 projects totaling 81 million euros in Azerbaijan in 2025, the bank told Interfax.

The EBRD financed eight projects totaling 199 million euros in Azerbaijan in 2024, thus the bank cut financing 60% year-on-year in 2025.

The EBRD's current portfolio of 36 projects in Azerbaijan is estimated at 906 million euros as at the end of 2025.

Azerbaijan has been a member of the EBRD since 1992. The EBRD has overall invested around 4 billion euros in 201 projects in the country.
