Ukrainian State Border Guard Service provides border-crossing data
MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - Passenger traffic across the Ukrainian border decreased to 401,000 travelers on January 24-30, while the number of arrivals remained slightly larger than the number of departures, Ukrainian media said, citing data from the State Border Guard Service.
The number of departures decreased to 199,000 from 205,000 the week before, while the number of arrivals went down to 202,000 from 214,000, the media said.
The number of vehicles crossing the border has been around 110,000 for four consecutive weeks, whereas the number of humanitarian trucks has grown again, to 531 from 450 the week before and 394 two weeks ago.
An update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees estimated the number of Ukrainian refugees at 5.898 million worldwide as of January 16, 2026, (5.860 million as of December 11), including 5.349 million in Europe (5.311 million).
The UN estimated the number of internally displaced persons in Ukraine at 3.7 million as of the end of 2025, versus 3.340 million in July and 3.76 million in April.
