Trade turnover of agricultural products between Russia, UAE may increase 10% in 2026 - Deputy PM Patrushev
DUBAI. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Trade turnover of agricultural products between Russia and the UAE amounted to $400 million in 2025, and in 2026 it could increase at least 10%, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev told journalists on the sidelines of an international exhibition in Dubai.
"Overall, the trade turnover of agricultural products and food between Russia and the United Arab Emirates is growing year by year. Over the past three years, it has doubled and reached $400 million. We will work to ensure it continues to increase. We proceed from the assumption that the minimum share by which it should increase in 2026 is 10%," Patrushev said. "We will look at how we can achieve this. Overall, we are cooperating on the supply of halal products. We can grow in the supply of meat, grain and milk."
There is another major topic worth developing jointly, Patrushev said: the BRICS grain exchange. "BRICS countries account for almost half of the consumption of all grains and oilseeds. Regarding this area of cooperation, I also think it will be interesting," he said.
This year the exhibition features a record number of Russian companies - around 140, and the exhibition area with Russian goods is over 2,000 square meters, he said.
