Azerbaijan cuts oil imports 13% in Jan-Nov 2025 - State Statistics Committee

BAKU. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan imported 1.51 million tonnes of oil worth $705.71 million in January-November 2025, according to data from the State Statistics Committee.

Oil imports decreased 12.7% in quantitative terms and 25.6% in value terms.

The main volume of oil (92.4%) was imported from Russia at 1.39 million tonnes, a decrease of 9%, worth $642.71 million, a decline of 23%.

Oil was also supplied from Kazakhstan at 114,400 tonnes, a 3.3-fold increase, worth $62.83 million, a 2.8-fold increase, and Iraq at 439.7 tonnes worth $162,600. There were no supplies in January-November 2024.

As previously reported, Azerbaijan imported 1.87 million tonnes of oil in 2024, a 2.5% increase year-on-year, worth $1.02 billion, a 5.3% increase.
