State support for Russian agricultural sector totals 665 bln rubles in 2025 - Agriculture Ministry
MOSCOW. Jan 12 (Interfax) - State support for the Russian agricultural sector under four state programs of the Agriculture Ministry amounted to 665 billion rubles in 2025.
The largest amount of the funding (486.9 billion rubles) was allocated to the state program for agricultural development, the Agriculture Ministry said. The Land program received 40.5 billion rubles, the program for the comprehensive development of rural areas received 116 billion rubles and support for the fisheries industry amounted to 21.3 billion rubles.
Concessional lending is the most popular support measure, the ministry said. In 2025, subsidies for these purposes increased from the initially planned 100 billion rubles to approximately 250 billion rubles. At the same time, a record amount of concessional short-term loans was provided to agricultural producers - almost 732 billion rubles, up 15% compared to the figure for 2024. A significant portion of the funds was directed towards conducting seasonal field work.
All key measures of support for the industry will be maintained in 2026, the ministry said. The federal budget allocates 542 billion rubles for the four state programs, although this amount may be increased during the year.
A total of 10 billion rubles are allocated to support grain producers, 4 billion rubles for the development of viticulture and 3.5 billion rubles for potato and vegetable production. Funding for the mechanism of preferential leasing of agricultural machinery will increase to 13 billion rubles. A new federal project has appeared, which includes all support measures for small agricultural business. A total of 14.5 billion rubles will be allocated for this.
